Pumicestone passage

Kings Beach

Kings Beach is one of the most well known and favourite beaches of the locals in the region. The oceanfront swimming pool is a huge feature attraction especially for those of you with young children. The beach is totally relaxing and definitely a must to visit when on holidays in Caloundra. There are cafes and restaurants just a few minutes walk from the beach and we manage some of the premier holiday accommodations in the area.

The famous tidal swimming pool has shade sails and a 25m seawater lap pool, children’s swimming pool and a wading area with disabled access.

Pumicestone Passage

Pumicestone Passage is a breathtaking body of water stretching 35km from Caloundra in the north to Deception Bay in the south. The waterway is lined with mangroves and is a stunning marine park green zone that is home to dolphins, dugongs, turtles and more than 360 species of birds. A cruise on Pumicestone Passage is a must if you are a nature lover, but even if you are not as interested you will be after visiting Pumicestone Passage.

Currimundi Lake

Currimundi Lake is a beautiful calm stretch of water that runs into the ocean at Currimundi surf beach, just north of Caloundra. There are plenty of walking trails that are well mapped with signage along the way that explains all the native flora and fauna that is in the area. There are many areas to have a picnic and close to an array of beautiful cafes and restaurants.

Street Markets

Caloundra Street Fair is on every Sunday from 8am to 1pm and is held under the canopies of the tree-lined main street, surrounded by cafes, boutiques and speciality shops. There are more than 200 stalls to explore that feature handcrafted goods, arts and crafts, as well as beautiful food and fresh flowers.

The Caloundra twilight markets are held on Friday from 5pm to 9pm during the holiday periods, along Bulcock Beach Esplanade and offer a wide variety of artisan, craft and homemade wares.
