The only reason why swimming is not recommended is because the beach is unpatrolled and can be a little wild and unpredictable. Shelly Beach is known for the rock pools that are full of marine life. Both adults and kids love discovering the Black Sea Cucumbers, Blue Periwinkles and Rose Barnacles that make their home in the waters of the shoreline.
