Kings Beach Holiday Rentals – About Kings Beach

Kings Beach is such a beautiful part of Caloundra. A combination of natural beauty and convenience makes it one of the best places to stay in Caloundra. Situated just out of the centre of Caloundra and in close proximity to our holiday rental accommodation and the large variety of cafes and restaurants, it is an excellent multi-purpose beach.

Kings Beach is a very family friendly beach that is generally safe for swimming and offers good protection from wind. The beach is well patrolled, and has several playgrounds for your younger children. Overall it is a beautiful place to stay. The beach is surrounded by plenty of amenities such as BBQs, toilets, change rooms and showers that are well maintained and cleaned on a regular basis. There is a fenced playground for kids and the beach is patrolled. Staying on one of our Kings Beach holiday rentals is the way to go and just a short stroll to the beach. Parking is a chore so staying close by is the best idea.

Kings Beach Holiday Rentals

There is a multitude of things to do in and around Kings Beach Caloundra. We have compiled a few of the best holiday activities.

Kings Beach

Caloundra’s most popular surf beach, which is also connected to Bulcock Beach by a boardwalk skirting the headland. Great for swimming, surfing, fishing, snorkelling and exploring the rock pools. Caloundra Council has spent many millions of dollars upgrading this whole area which now boasts an amphitheatre with regular free concerts, a very popular, interactive water fountain, children’s playground, great picnic areas, and a fabulous new 25m saltwater pool in front of the Surf Club on the beach. The views are spectacular; the food at the Surf Lifesaving Club is always good, as are the many local restaurants.  The Headland coastal walk continues to Shelly Beach.

Australia Zoo

You can’t come to the Sunshine Coast without visiting Beerwah, the home of the world famous Australia Zoo. It is a 25 minute drive south along Steve Irwin Way.  Australia Zoo offers a full day of wildlife actin and adventure, where you can check out all the amazing wildlife, set on over 70 acres of natural Australian bushland.  There are over 10 shows where you can watch the free-flight bird show, snakes slithering, tigers at play and the huge saltwater crocs! Crikey!

Sea Life Sunshine Coast

Just 25 minutes from Kings Beach in Mooloolaba,  Sea Life is definitely a must see on your holiday as well. It is one of the most popular attractions on the Sunshine Coast and has been for many years. Sea Life is Queensland’s largest aquarium and oceanarium with one of the largest and most diverse arrays of marine life, both in the water and out of the water. The aquarium boasts over 10,000 creatures, has Australia’s largest collection of jellyfish and over 20 species of shark and rays.
